Cognitive Dissonance

Saw this on Cyclingnews's coverage of the NAHMBS. It's a brake-track-less Deep V with a reflective coating for "safety":

I'll bet if you painted AYHSMB on them in non-reflective paint, it would show up cool in the car lights.

it actually makes more practical sense than most things at the Handmade show: most brakeless jackasses aren't able to stop at intersections or going to trouble themselves by using decent lights at night so these rims are a last-ditch attempt to keep them from getting killed. i'm also guessing that Velocity is making a lot of money on wheelchair rims for hipsters who wrecked in brakeless crashes.
